Sharon Osbourne Is Working on Opening an Ozzy Museum with Music Classes and a Café

Sharon Osbourne is planning to open an Ozzy Osbourne museum in the legendary metal singer’s hometown of Birmingham, England.

Sharon revealed the news during the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, which features Sharon and Ozzy in discussion with their son Jack and daughter Kelly.

After stating that she’s been working on an Ozzy “memorabilia place,” Sharon opened up about the planned museum, which will feature an attached café featuring a music-education component that will include playable instruments for students.

The conversation started when Jack asked Sharon if Ozzy was still moving back to England, as had previously been stated despite the metal legend’s desire to remain in the States. Sharon answered “no,” and then discussed the plan for the museum.

“He’s having all of his awards [in the museum], all his stage clothes, posters, old posters from [the pre-Black Sabbath band] Earth days,” said Sharon (as transcribed by Metal Injection). “I’ve got so much memorabilia.”

She continued, “We’re gonna do it totally interactive — every video, every live show of your dad’s, everything there. It’s more of an educational thing for musicians and artists that wanna see that you can come from nothing, and if you work hard enough this is what you can get. We’re going to have a café, and in there we’re going to have every instrument you can think of. Music students can come in and we’re gonna do music classes, because there’s no music at schools anymore. We’re gonna get friends, other musicians to come in.”

Ozzy also chimed in, recalling the many famous rock artists who’ve hailed from Birmingham or near it: Robert Plant, Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra, etc. Perhaps some of Ozzy’s famous friends will make an appearance at the museum.

“They’re gonna do a School of Rock kind of thing?” asked Jack, to which Sharon replied: “Yes.”

While Sharon is prepping to commemorate Ozzy’s career, the singer isn’t quite ready to hang up the mic. He recently said he intends to record one more album in 2024 before finally getting back on the road to play shows. Ozzy was originally slated to perform at the Power Trip festival this weekend — what would have been his first proper concert in nearly five years — but bowed out due to his ongoing health concerns.
