Sebastian Bach Revealed as Tiki on The Masked Singer After Singing KISS Classic: Watch

The Masked Singer now has another glam-metal alum among its ranks after ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach was revealed as Tiki on the singing competition show.

Inspired by previous appearances from Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider and Poison’s Bret Michaels on the show, Bach was convinced to don the massive head-to-toe disguise, becoming Tiki — a literal walking tiki cocktail. Fittingly, Bach performed a song by fellow rock legends KISS (“I Was Made for Lovin’ You”) before the big reveal, as he was eliminated during the semifinals.

Panelist Nicole Scherzinger was correct in guessing that the former Skid Row frontman was Tiki, having previously shared a bill with Bach in 2006 and picking up on a clue related to Skid Row’s “Monkey Business.”

“It was 2006 and I was on the same bill as this legend and we saw the monkey clue for Skid Row’s song ‘Monkey Business,’” she said.

Sebastian needed help removing the huge head-piece for the costume while being introduced by host Nick Cannon as a “rock legend.” However, some fans were upset at Bach being ousted in the semis, especially during a rock-themed episode.

“Words can’t begin to describe how upset I am that he didn’t make it to the finals,” wrote one YouTuber.

As for his reasoning behind participating on the show, Bach told Variety: “I love singing, and honestly I saw some really cool friends of mine on the show — namely Dee Snider and Bret Michaels.”

“I’ve always loved a big production,” he added. “I just went to the very last KISS show at Madison Square Garden. And I’ve always loved costumes and make-up and smoke and lights. The Masked Singer is definitely a big production with a lot of staging. Before I got on the show, I thought it was more about comedy and the costumes — which it is. But then when I did it, I found out it’s about the singing. I was very happy to be a part of it because I love to sing.”

Michaels even made a surprise appearance on the episode, having participating in a previous season as the Banana. Rather than reprise his in-costume role, the Poison frontman appeared in his bandana and recognizable rockstar garb to sing “Nothin’ but a Good Time.”
