Dolby Atmos Renderer application released

Dolby Atmos Renderer immersive audio post production rendering software

Dolby Laboratories have announced the release of the Dolby Atmos Renderer application, a new software product that combines their Dolby Atmos Production Suite and Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite production tools into a single all-in-one solution.

Along with the combination of the two existing software packages, the application introduces a number of new features. Native support for Apple Silicon-based computers has been implemented, which extends to support for Dolby plug-ins, Dolby Atmos Music Panner, Binaural Settings, and LTC Generator. 96kHz ADM support has been added, and it is now possible for users to retain their Trim and Downmix settings.

Features that were previously exclusive to Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite customers are now available, including support for Room EQ, Array Mode, remote connectivity and compatibility with Windows (Windows users will need to run Dolby Atmos Renderer on a separate computer from their DAW, and use a hardware solution to handle their audio routing).

In addition to the new features, the software boasts a newly designed UI that has been optimised for readability and accessibility.

“Dolby actively works with our community of creators to develop and refine our tools so that making incredible Dolby Atmos experiences is as simple and frictionless as possible. With the new Dolby Atmos Render application, creators will enjoy the benefits of Dolby’s innovative audio production portfolio along with new features through an all-in-one application, now available at an even lower price point.” – David Gould, Senior Director of Content Creation Solutions, Dolby Laboratories

Pricing & Availability

The application will be available to purchase from the Avid Store over the coming days, priced at $299. Existing Dolby Atmos Production Suite and Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite owners are eligible for an upgrade price of $50.
