Dave Grohl Needs “No Cursing” Sign To Remind Him Not to Curse in Abu Dhabi
Dave Grohl is a man who likes to curse. The United Arab Emeritus is a country where cursing is strictly prohibited; in fact, the usage of the F-word is considered a crime, punishable by up to a year in prison. So when Foo Fighters played the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concert on Sunday, the band’s frontman took no chances.
Grohl went as far to place a sign on stage that read “NO CURSING” in all caps. He later taped the sign to his microphone as he marveled at his ability to avoid cursing. “I think that’s the first time ever!”
Fortunately for Grohl, he won’t have to self-censor himself when Foo Fighters hit Australia for a run of shows throughout December. Nor will he have to worry when the band tours the UK and North America next summer.
