Apple TV+ Raises Monthly Price to $9.99 — a 42% Increase
Apple TV+ is joining Netflix and other streamers in raising its monthly price.
As of today, the monthly subscription for Apple TV+ is $9.99, up from its previous price point of $6.99. Meanwhile, the annual subscription price has jumped from $69 to $99.
Apple TV+ previously raised its subscription cost from $4.99 to $6.99 in October 2022.
Earlier this month, Netflix rolled out price increases for its Basic and Premium plans in the US. Its Basic tier went from $9.99 to $11.99 per month, while its Premium tier rose from $19.99 to $22.99. Netflix did not, however, increase the price of its Standard with ads tier.
Unlike Netflix, AppleTV+ does not currently offer an ad-support subscription tier.
Apple TV+s price increase comes ahead of the premieres of two major new series, Masters of the Air and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, as well as Season 4 of For All Mankind.
