Machine Gun Kelly Confronts Fan Who Stormed Stage During Forbes Summit Interview: Watch

Machine Gun Kelly’s town hall during the Forbes Under 30 Summit on Tuesday was briefly derailed when an audience member evidently approached him after storming the stage.

Forbes editor Kristin Stoller was interviewing the pop-punk artist in a packed auditorium when somebody entered the stage from the side. Mid-sentence, MGK stood up with his hands balled up in fists, saying: “My man, get the fuck away from me. Yo, what are you doing? What are you doing? This is a bad look. Don’t make me do this.”

While it’s unclear what the persona non grata’s motivation was, he can be heard faintly saying: “I got you, man. I want to help you out here.” He didn’t make any physical contact with MGK, but the two were just a few feet away by the time security guards dashed over to carry him off stage.

“I do apologize for my primal reaction,” MGK told the audience after he sat back down, as Stoller applauded him for his “amazing” reaction. Check out a video of his full town hall below; the incident in question begins around the 10:40 mark.

Considering Machine Gun Kelly has been subjected to multiple instances of on-stage physical harassment before, we can’t exactly blame him for having his fists ready so quickly. He’s had plenty of practice throwing punches, too, whether it’s in the form of red carpet altercations or making one consenting fan’s dreams come true.
